Indian Premier League 2020 , also named as IPL 13, is organized as the 13th season of the IPL, a BCCI (Indian Cricket Control Board) skilled t20is cricket league established in 2007. The tournament was initially scheduled to start on March 29, 2020 but due to the global covid'19 pandemic was delayed until April 15.
BCCI suspended the tournament indefinitely after Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced on 14 April that the lockdown in India will last until at least 3 May 2020. IPL 2020 tournament was declared on 2 August 2020 to be played in the United Arab Emirates between 19 September and 10 November 2020. The Indian government has given its permission for the tournament to be held in the UAE on 10th August 2020.
VIVO cut out this year's edition as IPL (Indian Premier League) title sponsor on 4 August 2020. Fantasy cricket league network Dream11 was appointed title sponsor rights on August 18 with an offer for IPL 2020 of 222 crores.
